  • Why does such a thing happen?
  • So long as attachment and identification with the physical self will exist, this agony must be endured. Give up everything. Man cannot gain peace without sacrifice. Only by sacrifice can man gain emancipation. Hence give up everything. Nobody can gain the truth without giving up the false. This world is false just as a dream is false. Both these things are to be ignored.
  • Oh! I am not able to sacrifice. What shall I do? By what means can fitness for sacrifice be acquired?
  • By uttering the Name. Repeat the Name incessantly. Neither pay heed to anyone else nor say anything to anybody. Only repeat the name of Rama. I will take care of everything. What you think to be sorrow is a dream. You are not an actor in the play that is going on; you are only a spectator. I am the raging fire of your unrest; I am the gentle breeze of your peace. Ignore the Gross-Subtle-Causal and look at me, the Great Cause. I am everything and you are the spectator. Do not laugh or cry on watching the drama. Do not wail, taking the dream as the truth. Do not forget even for a moment that you are the spectator. Let this be your firm belief that you are not the actor. What is to fear? He who seeks refuge in me, I keep in my heart. That, which makes you restless, is nothing but my auspicious presence. This universe is made of good; there is not even an iota of evil in this universe. Repeat the Name.
  • Rama...Rama...Rama. Ah, I feel calm within.
  • Yes, why will he who is sheltered by me, look at enjoyment? My devotee cannot be a worm in the cesspool of enjoyment. Money and attachments are objects of enjoyment. Your accumulated wealth will not be able to deliver you from the world of death. Money will bring only trouble. Ignore money. Every human body perishes one day; is it something to lust after? Fie, fie! That is Hell. Do not look at it in that way. Come back, come back. This body of yours is the home to diseases, is the cause of pain and sorrow and is continuously rotting. Although this body can die any moment, you are carefree! You tremble with fear on watching certain acts in this drama. Fie, fie! Get ready. Get ready for death. Leave all that you are doing.
  • Can all be given up?
  • Certainly, all can be given up. I am everything. I am assuming various forms to destroy the fruit of your work. I am your worldly relations, I am your preceptor. I am your disciple and devotee. It is I who destroys your evil deeds by decrying you. It is I who destroy your good deeds by praising you. Whom will you be angry with? Me, me, me. Whom will you love? Me, me, me. Come away. Leave the realm of the Gross and come to the Subtle. Close your eyes and fix your sight on the first level. Shake and rouse the mad girl that is sleeping on the level below. Accompanied by her, observe the rooms in the six storeys of this structure. And just above the last level is the abode of the Pranava. That is my favourite name; Pranava. Call me as you observe all this. That is the Bindu; that is the Nada. Go up and sit silently on the sixth level. Do you not like to stay there? There are sunrays in the Sahasrara. Go there. Follow those rays and go to the region of the Sun. If you can keep your attention fixed on the sunrays in the Sahasrara, you shall have control over your death. You would be able to penetrate the Brahmarandhra and leave the mortal coil at will.
  • You are saying many things but I find neither the shore nor the brink.
  • I am the shore; I am the brink. Emancipation comes from repeating Om, Om, Om, Om, Om, Om, Om, Om.
  • I say, Om, Om, Om, Om, Om, Om, Om, Om.
  • Say, Om, Om, Om, Om, Om, Om mmmmm.
  • I say, Om, Om, Om, Om, Om, Om, Om m m.
  • Om, Om, Om, Om, Om, Om, Om m m.
  • Om, Om, Om, Om, Om, Om, Om m m.

  • I love you very much.
  • Why do you love me?
  • There is no reason for my love. I love without any reason.
  • I do not do any such thing that you can love me.
  • Yet I love you very much.
  • Do you love only me?
  • No, I love all.
  • If you love all why do they suffer so much?
  • That too is my way of loving.
  • Oh, how unique is your love! I cannot understand what kind of love this is.
  • See, I want to keep everyone near me. When they go mad being deluded by worldly things and cannot remember me anymore, I snatch away the false enjoyment conceived by their minds and make them remember me and thus keep them near me. Isn’t this love?
  • Is the enjoyment conceived by the mind?
  • Why only enjoyment? This world also is conceived by the mind. The world has no reality. This world is untrue.
  • How can I call what I see, as false? .
  • Seeing is a mistake.
  • Are the two eyes seeing erroneously?
  • Well, can’t the eyes see erroneously? Do you not remember the rising of the Sun in the West in Azimganj? How did these eyes that had seen the Sun rise in the East all through life, see the Sun rise that day in the West?
  • That was due to mistaken directions.
  • With the eyes closed did you not reason within yourself that the Sun does not rise in the West and just as you opened your eyes the Sun rose in the West, was it not so?
  • Still the illusion had not gone!
  • You could not make out what happened to the illusion as soon as you started seeing with your mind. Similarly, this world is an illusion like mistaken directions. Like the Sun rising in the West. The world exists in Brahma. This illusion of the world will not go till the mind’s eye becomes active. Till the vision of the world goes, you will not become calm.
  • How will there be direct mental vision?
  • Immerse your mind in my name, beauty, quality and true nature, and then there will be direct mental vision.
  • How shall I immerse the mind?
  • You can immerse it by uttering the Name.
  • What of the wailing coming from all directions, which wants to create disturbance in uttering the Name?
  • There is no disturbance in the world that can dislodge my devotee from his path. If Yama hears the roar of the name of Rama, his hold on the sceptre slackens. You think that you have many weakness, many defects in you. Let there be weaknesses and defects; utter the Name. All weakness and defects will vanish. They are sure to vanish. Whenever you feel distant from me, say ‘Rama, Rama, Sitaram’ aloud. The six enemies living in the body will freeze in fear. Don’t be frightened on any account. Just look behind and see that I am holding you close. Just as your body is present all around the organisms living in your blood, you exist completely engulfed by my body because I am the whole universe. I alone am above, beneath, in front of and behind you. I...I...I.
  • I have been listening to you speak of ‘I...I...I’ for many days now. How much longer will these talks of ‘I...I...I’ go on?
  • Till your ‘I’ merges with my ‘I’.
  • Do whatever you like.
  • Don’t sit idle, do meditative repetition. What shall I tell my beads?
  • My favourite Name!
